Campbell's Nursery

So, we are still a ways away from being done with the nursery, but I thought I would give everyone a peak and what has been accomplished so far. We started out with a boring basic square room with 2 windows, a closet & door. Now we have a green room with custom lighting, a ceiling fan, chair rail & crown molding provided by Brian & his friend Chris and beautiful furniture and a few accessories with dozens more being decided over. We are still waiting on her chair to arrive which will go in the corner in front of the windows. But here is a sneak peak at what is to come! We also have a white shelf that we need to repaint to hang up & Brian is going to build a bookcase shelf, that is the best way I can explain it, to hold these baskets we bought.

We are also waiting on some custom artwork that is going to be created by Christina, once she starts back with her art class. She is super talented & we can't wait to see what she comes up with.

In other news, Leigh & I got together last night to make a list for the beach...and we all know how i feel about lists! I love them & Leigh loves them just as much as I do! I think we have a pretty good idea of who is bringing what & what we are going to get once we get down there! I am so excited about getting away for a week & just relaxing!

It is so hard to believe that I only have 10 more weeks of being pregnant & 10 more weeks until we get to see Campbell. I started having dreams about what she is going to look like, so it will be amazing to actually see what she looks like.

Well once everything is done in the nursery I will post final pictures of what we are going to bring Campbell home to! I think Grover knows something is going on and at first he was very nervous & scared to go into the nursery, but he has gotten over that and I have found him laying in there a few times, so now we will just have to wait and see what he does once she actually arrives!

Exciting Things Are Happening This Weekend!

I am so excited for the weekend to be here because the nursery furniture is coming!! The bedding is at the house, just waiting for the crib to dress! Once we get that in, we can start thinking and deciding on wall decorations and window treatments. The chair that we ordered is back ordered and should ship the 2nd week of September, but if feels like we have been waiting on this chair forever...well since we ordered it the first week of July.

I am also getting really excited because our beach vacation is less than a month away! I can't wait to get my toes in the sand! I feel like time is flying by, b/c only a month ago I was talking with Leigh about how our trip was never going to get here & it really is almost here & I know this month will fly by with all that I want/need to get done.

I am also glad to report that I passed my glucose test that I had yesterday at my appointment, but I am a tenth of a point away from being "anemic" so I have to start taking an Iron supplement b/c Campbell is stealing all my iron! But I would rather have to take an extra supplement than be on a restricted diet! The glucose test was not horrible, but wasn't something I would want to do again. I got the orange flavored syrup & it burned my throat while i was chugging it down.

Well the next post i promise will have pictures of the nursery as long as everything goes according to plan...but you never know! Happy Weekend!
