Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas From Our Family To Yours!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve today.  Campbell and I headed over to the Koehler's house this morning for some cookie baking fun!  Thank goodness for Insley or else Santa would be cookie less at our house!  We spent the afternoon around the house.  Brian helped Brad and Justin assembly various gifts during Campbell's nap time...one of which is still being worked on at this very moment (10 pm...granted they did take a break from about 3:45 until 9).
Noni, Pops, Aunt Katie & Colin all arrived around 4:15 to go to church with us.  The service was at 5 and was nice, it was a children's service so lots of singing and fun things for the kids.  Next year I hope we can make it to the 7 o'clock service.  After church we headed back to the house for dinner, which consisted of cheesy polenta, pot roast, asparagus and biscuits.  For dessert we had toasted coconut pie....it was all yummy if I do say so myself!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and enjoys the time together with friends and family!

Merry Christmas!

Campbell Visits Santa

We took Campbell on Saturday to DMV to visit Santa.  Pop's got us a ticket to the Santa breakfast as his work and we thought it would be the perfect place to take Campbell for her first "real" Santa experience.  Last year she slept while visiting Santa.  She did really well.   I will post the picture we got once I scan it on the computer but for now the video will have to do.

Also, here is the picture from last year...she has grown up so much!

Tacky Sweater 2010

Last weekend we headed to the Turner's annual Tacky Sweater Party and we had a blast.  Brian and I sported some tacky outfits...since neither of us could find a sweater.  I sported the footed pajamas and Brian sported the Wal-mart Christmas shirt special and a Christmas light vest...that had to be plugged into the wall!

Campbell Goes to School

Last Friday I took Campbell out to see my at school.  We went several times last year but now that I am working this was the first time we could make it out to see Noni at school and meet all the kiddos.  They were all really cute and the boys even let Campbell play with the blocks.

Faucet

We finally got a new kitchen faucet...not that we really should have needed one, but for the past year our faucet has been a pain.  We tried fixing it several times and it always seems to have another issue.  Finally this past week it decided that it just wanted to have this annoying steady drip, so we decided to replace it with a new faucet.  We headed out to Home Depot on Friday night and bought a new Moen faucet.  I really like the way it looks and I love the pull down hose, instead of the pull out.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a wonderful turkey day!  I know we had fun with all our family.  We headed over to Noni & Pop's house Wednesday night for the traditional beef stew and wine.  The only one who really enjoyed the wine was Brian...I wish I had taken a picture of him on the way home.  He was passed out snoring in the front seat and Campbell was passed out in the backseat, since it was way past her bedtime.
On Thursday morning we headed back over to my parents to spend the day with them and help get Thanksgiving lunch ready.  This year at Thanksgiving there were 12 of us.  The three of us, Noni, Pops, Aunt Katie, Colin, Aunt Caty, Brayden, Aaron, Uncle Gene, Aunt Cynthia & cousin Randy.  We had a really nice time and I know I ate way to much food.

Happy Veteran's Day

Happy Veteran's Day!

A big thank you to all the men and women who have or are serving our country!
We could not live in this amazing country without all your sacrifices!

In honor of the veteran's in our family we went to leave flowers and a flag at their graves.

We also left a flag next to Grandpa & Grandma's (Brian's parents) headstone.

Campbell's One Year Check Up

I took Campbell on Tuesday for her 1 year check up!  I still can't believe I have a one year old, I got an e-mail from baby center the other day...that said your toddler....WHAT!!!   Things at the doctors went pretty well, for some reason the last few times we have had to go see Dr. S it has been so slow and Tuesday was no exception.  We were there a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes, complete with 3 shots, and having blood drawn again to check her iron levels.  Her levels are still low, so we went Wednesday afternoon to Labcorp to have some more testing done...let me tell you not fun at all.  We were both crying and Campbell was screaming like we were bulling her finger nails off.  She was a trooper though and as soon as we left the office she was fine.  We will hopefully know something in the next couple of days.

Campbell's Stats:

Weight:  21 lbs 7 ozs
Length 29 1/2" or as Brian likes to say 2' 5 1/2" tall
