Bonefish & The Gang

So we headed out for our annual "Christmas" dinner last night with the gang...Leigh, Brad, Insley & Justin! We usually try and get to dinner sometime in January but this year mother nature had another plan & dumped tons of snow on us. So we rescheduled for last night and headed to Bonefish. We ate lots of yummy food & the guys might have had enough to drink for a year! We ate Singapore Calamari, Bang Bang Shrimp & then each had our own dinner!



We are so lucky to have such great friends & neighbors! I don't know what we would do without them!

Campbell was a lucky little girl and got to hang out at home with her Aunt Katie! We are so lucky to have her in town to babysit for the little one.

Avery's First Birthday Party!

We had such a great time at Avery's first birthday party today! It was so fun to see all the neighborhood kiddos running around and playing with each other. I of course didn't take any pictures at the party...i took a few of Campbell before we left & I will steal some from someone so you can see all the kiddos & the super cute birthday girl!

I loved that Avery & Olivia had matching pink & brown outfits to go with the party theme! Leigh does an amazing job with the girls party...I only hope Campbell's birthday party will be as great!

Campbell Goes to Kingergarten!

Well we think she is smart, but she isn't that smart! Campbell & I went to visit Noni & her class today! Campbell did great with all the kiddos & they were not allowed to touch her until the had squirted their hands with hand gel & then they could only touch her hand which I wiped down with a baby wipe as soon as we got to the car!

They asked all kinds of questions...

What does she eat?

Why doesn't she talk?

Does she crawl?

Why is she spitting? Some of the boys wanted her to spit on them!

All Campbell did the entire time was stare at all the kiddos...she wasn't sure what to think of some many little people staring at her.

VCU vs JMU

We headed to another VCU basketball game last night & had a great time! We went with Christina & Brad. Campbell did pretty well at the game, she got tired at the end but that is understandable since her usually bed time is at 7:30. She even feel asleep at the game, I am not sure how she can do that but I am thankful she doesn't need a quite house to sleep! The pictures below were taken by Nationwide & I am glad that they took a picture since I forgot to.

Catherine's Wedding Weekend

We had a fun filled weekend. It started on Friday morning, Campbell and I meet my good friend Lauren for breakfast at Ukrops. Lauren lives in Chicago and is in town for our good friend Catherine's wedding on Saturday, so it was great to see her and catch up, the last time we really talked was back in December at Catherine's bridal shower that we co-hosted. It makes me sad that we don't talk as much as we used to but I know that we will always be friends! After breakfast we headed to Target & then hung out until we dropped Campbell off at Ashely's house before Catherine's Bridal Tea.

Lauren & I headed to Catherine's Bridal Tea at the Jefferson! It was amazing...the food was to die for & my diet went out the window when they brought out all the yummy desserts. I sat with Catherine's good friend Rachel & we sampled a little bit of every dessert!

Then Saturday we had Catherine & John Scott's wedding. The ceremony was at Trinity UMC the same church that Brian & I got married at. They have been doing some serious construction & it looks really nice! Then they had a wonderful reception at the Tuckahoe Women's Club...it was beautiful & the food was yummy! Catherine was a beautiful bride! Don't worry we didn't forget about Campbell she was home with her Noni & Pops & Auntie Katie.

Happy Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I don't really have true feeling about this holiday...i mean i know some people love it while other hate it...i just feel neutral about it. I do love that it is Campbell's first Valentine's Day & since it was I got to make cards with/for her. She sat in her high chair while I made some of her cards! I love that we got to buy her a "Happy 1st Valentine's Day" card. I love that we got to buy cards for Noni, Pops & Auntie Katie from Campbell.

We got Campbell this little book from Hallmark that records you reading the story to her...Brian & I took turns reading the pages. I hope she will love this book for years to come.


But I think the thing I love more than anything else is that Brian went out on his lunch break on Thursday and bought Campbell and Valentine's Day present. We he told me what he did it brought tears to my eyes because he was so excited about the two outfits that he bought her.

Get Together

Today we got together with our buddies, Ashley, Addie & her big brother Wiley. We were supposed to get together yesterday but with the morning blizzard and Brian's car sliding off the road we didn't make it. So we all meet up this morning at Cartwheels & Coffee, which was packed. I guess every mom in Richmond wanted to get their kids out of the house. I really think there we about 25 kids there with their mommies & that place was not designed for that many people! We stayed there for about 1.5 hours and then head to Chipotle for lunch...yummy!

Super Bowl Party

Well more like a small get together of great friends...just the way I like it! We had a small get together for the Super Bowl which I didn't even begin watching until the 3rd quarter...I like to chat to much with my buddies to watch the game. We had the Turners, Koehlers & Dardens over for some super bowl fun. I think most people were cheering for the Saints,except Brian...he wanted the Colts to win, but he was happy for the Saints!

We all thought the half time show was a bore...but luckily we had our own halftime show courtesy of Zack! He plays a killer guitar!

These little girls are going to be best friends...don't mind me in the picture but someone had to hold all the babies!

Snow Fall #3...Really

So we had another snow...ugg I am so tired of snow and we are supposed to get another wintry mix on Tuesday/Wednesday....ugg again! But this past weekend we actually spent at my parents house. We were supposed to head over there on Friday for dinner & so that Brian could help Katie with her new computer but since the weather was going to be so nasty we decided to back up the baby & dog and just head over there for the night...which actually turned into 2 nights. We had a lot of fun just hanging out with the family and playing tons of games. We played this game called Bananagrams...it is like a mini scrabble game and it was tons of fun. I forget how much I love playing board games.

We also played cards & Campbell even joined in!

3 Months Old!

I can't believe Campbell is three months old today! It has been an amazing three months...full of ups and downs...nights of sleep, nights of wishing for sleep. Our "baby bell" is growing like a storm and learns a new trick every day. Her newest trick is that she is starting to roll from her back to her tummy. When I say starting to I mean she gets one side a rocking & almost gets up to one side...so no more leaving her in the middle of the bed or wedged in the boppy for a minute. She will have to be in her chair or on the floor.

We Did It!

We finally got Campbell to take a bottle...I mean she has been taking bottles since day 1 because she likes to eat & when she was first born I was just not enough for her. But then 3 days ago she decided that she didn't want a bottle anymore and it was a nightly struggle to get her to take one, for the most part she would cry herself to sleep before she even took an ounce of her bottle.

So yesterday I decided I was going to work really hard on getting her to take a bottle during the day, so when it came to bedtime she wouldn't give Brian any problems and it seemed to work. She gulped down her bottle last night before bed and was out like a light! So, back to yesterday I got her to take 2 bottles, one with formula & then later one with breast milk. The first time I gave her the bottle with breast milk she wanted nothing to do with it, but would take a bottle of formula....I think our little miss is just stubborn....not sure where she gets that from.

I am happy to see that it looks like we should just be getting lots of rain this weekend and not lots of snow...I am done with snow for the year. I love to be able to get out on the weekends and get stuff done or even just have the option of getting out. But like I have always said the weathermen around here change their minds all the time, so by tomorrow we could once again be getting 10" of snow...we will just have to wait and see!

Kids Layne

I am so excited for the Kids Layne event this weekend...it is an amazing consignment sale this weekend that sells new and gently used clothing that is great for monogramming. Last time they had a sale Campbell was not yet here so I only bought a few items...but now Campbell is here I know her sizes & I will be going crazy!

There might only be one problem to my plan...we are supposed to get more snow this weekend...really! I might just be done with winter or at least snow! So I might try and get to the sale on Friday so that I can make sure to get to the sale. I will be sure to post pictures of all Campbell's new clothing!

Fussy Baby

Miss Campbell has been a fussy mess the last couple of days...she just doesn't seem like her self...not really sure what is going on & it wasn't the best weekend to be a fussy mess b/c we couldn't even get out of the house b/c of all the snow.

We are also having a little problem with bottle feeding...she did fine with the bottle from the start but all of a sudden she wants nothing to do with a bottle. She screams and cries and it is so hard to listen to. Last night she basically screamed/cried herself to sleep because not taking a bottle is not an option! So if you have any advice....please share it with us!
