Lewis Ginter

Today we meet up with Ashley, Wiley & Addie at Lewis Ginter to check out the flowers, play in the Children's Garden & eat lunch. We headed out about 11:30 from Ashley's house, she lives so close to Lewis Ginter that we could just walk. We arrived and headed down the the Children's Garden to eat lunch and let Wiley play in the sand box and for Campbell & Addie to just hang out. We all had a great time.

At 1:00 they opened the water park and Wiley had a great time running through the sprinklers even if his shorts kept falling down around his ankles! We started heading back to Ashley's house and it started getting really dark and windy. As we got closer to Ashley's house we had to run the rest of the way home because it started raining & thundering....I wish I had taken a picture of that but it was raining & thundering and I didn't want to get struck by lightening or scare my daughter to much. (Also, Ashley lost her much wanted Diet Coke on the run home...so if you see please return it to her!)

Mommy & Baby Yoga & Softball

We had a fun filled Wednesday. We meet Ashley & Addie at Mommy and Baby Yoga on Wednesday morning. It was fun and Campbell seemed to have a good time until the very end when she got a little fussy, it was getting close to nap time. There were 7 babies and 7 mommies, Campbell & Addie were the only little girls in the class. The babies ranged in age from 4 weeks to 6.5 months so it was fun to see little babies and to see what Campbell will be like in about another month.
After we came home from yoga it was nap time, which recently Campbell has been cutting short...ugg! So we will be working on that. After nap time we headed out to see Noni & Aunt Katie before Daddies softball game. We love getting out in the fresh air and getting to see our friends at the softball game. They had the early games last night from 6:30-8:20, we left before the last game was over since that is after Campbell's bedtime but we had fun.
We don't have to many weekend plans at this point. Christina & I will be at the Bon Air 5K Festival on Saturday morning with our monogrammed products for Got Me In Stitches, but after that I plan on just hanging around the house and getting things ready for next weekend.

Fun Filled Weekend!

We had a great weekend...a busy fun filled weekend! On Saturday morning after Campbell's morning nap we headed out to the Home Depot and got some beautiful new flowers for the front yard & the deck. Brian and I worked out in the yard on Saturday during Campbell's afternoon nap & then again on Sunday during her morning nap. Saturday evening Noni, Aunt Katie & Colin came over for dinner. Pops was out of town on a golf trip and we missed him! We spent some time with the neighbors outside Saturday evening watching the kids play and chatting...my favorite thing to do with some of my favorite people! Brian also watched some of the MASTERS!!

Campbell & Daddy watching the Masters

Campbell had her first experience with rice cereal on Saturday and seemed to really like it. We will try again soon & she what she thinks. After a few days of rice cereal Dr. S said we could start her on some fruits and veggies...veggies first of course!

I really do like this stuff & having it all over my face!

Sunday was another fun filled day. Brian and I finished work in the yard during Campbell's morning nap and then went on a walk once she woke up from her nap. Then after her afternoon nap Campbell & I headed to Noni & Pops house so that Campbell could get some quality time with Pops since he was gone last week and is going to be out of town this week. We hope he was a safe trip and can't wait to see him next weekend! Brian stayed at home to continue watching the Masters! He was cheering for Tiger to win & Campbell and I were cheering for Phil (he is left handed after all!) Campbell & I were correct in our prediction on who would win. WAY TO GO PHIL!!!!

Sunday evening we headed out to dinner with the Turners & Koehler's to celebrate Justin's birthday! We are so lucky to have such great neighbors and enjoyed spending the evening with them. Campbell sat in her first restaurant high chair and really enjoyed chewing on the side...i totally think there is a tooth coming in somewhere all she wants to do is chew on things...we will see!

We headed off to church yesterday morning for church with my parents and Katie. It was nice to be there and after we took pictures in front of the cross that the congregation fills with flowers. After church we headed over to Noni & Pops for lunch with the family and Jack & Marie. It was a nice afternoon filled with yummy food, Easter basket hunting and a couple of naps for Campbell.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny came to visit Campbell last night and brought her a basket full of goodies! Here are some pictures of her basket & her investigating her basket, and when I say investigate I mean she tried to put everything in her mouth!

Easter Bunny Visit

We headed out this morning to visit the Easter Bunny at Bass Pro Shop. We went there again because it is free and we were not sure how Campbell would do with a bunny. She did great! I think because when I put her on the bunnies lap she was facing me and she never turned around to see what was holding her. Caty and Brayden joined us for the adventure and he did great with the bunny also! Next year for Campbell might be a different story, as was the case for the little girl in line behind us who freaked out as soon as she saw the bunny!

We also got Brayden his birthday present while we were at Bass Pro...a fishing pole! He was pretty excited. His birthday is tomorrow.

Maymont

Campbell & I headed to Maymont today to meet up with Ashley, Wiley & Addie! We had a great time. It was so nice just to walk around and look at the animals and enjoy the weather. We meet them up there at about 11:15 and stayed until 2:30...what a great way to spend the day. Great friends, great weather!

When we first got there we had a picnic lunch and then headed out on a bear hunt...with many other fun animals and streams along the way. We did make it to the bears but they were sleeping and were hard to spot. Then we had to hike up "the hill" and hiking up the hill with a stroller is no easy task...but we made it. When we got up to the barn we got to see Daisy the sheep....who is in bad shape...she is over 16 years old (most sheep only live to 10-12), has vertigo, is blind and walks in big circles...poor Daisy!

The Babies Are Coming

Look at this adorable new movie coming out Mother's Day weekend! It follows four babies for a year...one baby is from San Francisco, Tokyo, Namibia & Mongolia. It makes you think that even though we live in this huge world we are all so much alike, especially us mommies. All we want is what is best for our little ones! I can't wait to check out the entire movie!
