Wednesday Date Night

Well not with my husband but with Campbell! We meet up with Ashley, Wiley & Addie at Maymont tonight for a picnic dinner & a stroll around the park. It works out well because Justin is out of town on Wednesday nights and Brian has softball. It was so nice outside today...83! Unlike yesterday when it was close to 100! We had a great time walking around and looking at the animals, they seemed to be enjoying the cooler weather also.

We were so thrilled and honored to be a part of you big day one year ago! It seems like only yesterday! We couldn't be happier for you!

Monday Funday

This morning I called Ashley to see what there week looked like and to see if we could find a time to get together and as it turned out they were getting ready to head out to the park for a while so Campbell and I decided to join them. We meet at a park over on Westover Hills Blvd, that is in the shade and made for little people. Campbell and Addie had fun swing, sitting in the sandbox, and riding in their vehicles of choice! Don't worry Wiley was there as well I just didn't get a picture of him climbing all over the fire truck!

After the park we headed to meet Aunt Kaite,Noni & Omi (Addie and Wiley's grandmother) for lunch. We had a packed morning and luckily Campbell came home and took a good nap before out afternoon of swimming! We set her baby pool up on the back deck and just let her hang out in her swim diaper for a while. She loved it!

Father's Day

On Sunday morning after I got Campbell up we went to see if Daddy was up and to our surprise he was and so we went and got his Father's Day presents so that he could open them. We gave him some adorable pictures of Campbell in her Master's onesie & her bear from the Master's. After Brian had opened his presents we headed downstairs for breakfast, which Brian made for himself because he wanted to have sausage and egg pita's and those are his specialty not mine! After Campbell got up for her morning nap we headed outside to give Grover his weekly bath..sounds like a great Father's Day doesn't it!

Then we jumped in the car and headed off to Noni & Pop's house to celebrate with them. When we go there we set up Campbell's baby pool so that after her nap she would be able to show everyone her swimming skills. She did great with the pool, not even one little bit of fussing after we put her in! I think she really loves the water. We spent most of the afternoon watching the US Open and then had a wonderful dinner, prepared by Auntie Katie and Noni (I made the dessert!), Katie made this delicious chicken cordon bleu & Noni made this yummy Christmas potatoes!







We enjoyed our evening with the family celebrating Dad!

Father's Day -Part 1 & Jules Birthday

We began our weekend of celebrating Daddy, by heading out to Pocahontas State Park to enjoy the swimming pool with our good friends, Ashley, Justin, Wiley & Addie! We had a great time and Campbell really enjoyed the water, well I wouldn't say she enjoyed it at first but after a little while she warmed up to the idea! Too bad the water didn't really warm up! It was her first adventure in water besides the bathtub & while I thought she would love it I was a little worried that she might hate it...if that was the case it might make for a long summer and a long week at the beach!

Saturday afternoon we headed over to the Koehler's house to celebrate Juliette's 1st birthday! We got Jules a beach towel & beach bag with her name monogrammed on them! I am in love with the beach bag and might need to make one for Campbell as well! She already has her beach towel, but this bag might be to cute not to have!

Nap Time

This is how I found Campbell today after nap time...say good bye to the mobile! I heard a noise about half way through her nap but I thought it was her kicking her crib...one of her favorite activities during nap time, and then it got quite again, but I guess it wasn't her kicking her crib it was her pulling her mobile down!

She is even happy with a mobile on her head!

Splish Splash

Campbell had her first bath in the big girl bath tub tonight & while she seemed to have a good time...my back might be killing me tomorrow! Here are a few pictures of her hair after bath time...it is always a mess but tonight it seemed to be going wild!

Grover Update

We took Grover on Tuesday to the doggie dermatologist! After a consultation with the Dr. we decided that the best course of treatment for Grover would be to have him tested for environmental allergies and the begin him on allergy shots for whatever he was allergic to. The better question might be what isn't he allergic to. We have an entire page of things he is allergic to and know I have the pleasure of giving him allergy shots every other day & administering 6 different pills! My cabinet looks like a drug store for dogs! So hopefully with any luck we will start to see some improvements in him!

Brian also called the breeder this morning just to see if anyone else from Grover's litter had called to report the same kind of problems and Dave(the breeder) was of no help at all. I have it hard to believe that Grover would be the only dog in the litter with such horrible allergies, but like my Dad pointed out last night maybe on one has called to report the problem to him. Sometimes I can't believe all the money we spend on this crazy dog of ours!

Childrens Museum

We meet Ashley, Addie & Wiley today at the brand new location of the Children's Museum, they already had a location downtown, but recently opened one up in Short Pump. We had a great time, I know once Campbell gets to walking she will really love it and exploring everything they have to offer. Right now she just hung out in the Mother's Goose area, for kids under 2 with lots of things to put in her mouth and mirrors for her to stare at herself in.

This morning we headed off to Lewis Ginter with Ashley, Wiley & Addie and was it ever hot! When I got to Ashley's house around 10:30, my car said it was 89! We found a shady spot for our picnic lunch and then headed over to the Children's Garden to play in the sprinklers & sand box. The sprinklers didn't open until 1, so Campbell didn't get to play b/c we had to head home for a nap, but she did get to play in the sandbox and only managed to eat a little bit of sand that stuck to her hands, she did try and eat everything else in the sandbox, the toys, leaves & sticks. Campbell loves to stick anything into her mouth. We had a great time and can't wait to go back again and try out the sprinklers! Campbell & Addie had matching outfits but we didn't get a great picture of them together...maybe next time!

Campbell Goes To Kindergarten

I took Campbell up to Noni's school today so she could see the kids one last time before school gets out for the summer. She had a great time sitting on her blanket with all the kids sitting around her. They had lots of questions & had to be reminded about 100 time not to touch Campbell. She loved watching them just about as much as they loved watching her. As we were leaving one little boy told Campbell that she had a "cute butt!" Here are some pictures of Campbell at school, she even got to stay for book reading.
