Stella & Dot

While at the Kids Layne sale I also happened upon a new friend and a great necklace!  I meet Aimee, who is a sales rep for Stella & Dot, http://home.stelladot.com.  They have amazing things and I had such a hard time deciding what to get, but I ended up selecting this necklace...Together Forever!

 I love their packaging....AMAZING!

But I have a wish list that could go on for pages but some of my favorites are:

This happens to be my favorite!

Kids Layne 2011

This past weekend was the AMAZING Kids Layne sale www.kidslayne.com.  I love this sale!  I was first introduced to the sale through Got Me In Stitches, we offered monogramming services to their customers 3 years ago.  I had a wonderful time looking through their clothing but at that time I had no need for it.  Flash forward to this past weekend and of course I have a need for it now!
I love to find things that I can monogram for Campbell as well as smocked items and hair bows!  I was also asked to work the sale on Thursday night & Friday to help out Karen & Jennifer, the owners of Kids Layne.  I had such a great time working the sale and walked away with so many cute things for Campbell.  Noni & Katie also came out to the sale and got Campbell some really cute outfits that I can't wait for her to wear.  Here are the items that I got Campbell (I must really love blue right now since most things I got are blue!)

 All the outfits

The Blues!

The other colors!

My favorite outfit
Francis Elizabeth Trunk Show!

I love the back of this outfit!  It will be so cute this summer!

I will be sure to post pictures of Campbell wearing all her cute new clothing!

From My Front Porch Looking In...

Well actually from the back deck looking into the yard.  This is what I got to listen, watch all afternoon.  Brian borrowed Chad's leaf blower and spent a good 2 hours cleaning out the backyard.  I guess after 5 years of not raking the leaves we had a bit of work to do.  This spring begins the backyard redo!  We hope to build a swing set, and playhouse for Campbell to enjoy!

Life As We Know It

This is how Campbell likes to spend a large part of her evenings and time at home.  She is yelling for Grover to come back, or for him to go out or just yelling at nothing out the door.

She also likes to spend a large amount of time riding on dino.  So far she has only figured out how to push herself backwards and fall off.  But she is getting better day by day!

I am also proud to report that Campbell has officially pooped on the potty!  No, she did not ask to, but the other night I was giving her a bath and she started making the poop face so I simply lifted her out of the top and placed her on the potty and she pooped like she new what she was doing.  We cleaned her up and stuck her back in the bath so we could finish loading and unloading the toys into the bath basket!  It totally reminded me of the scene from the movie "Life As We Know It" where they are giving the baby her bath and she ends up pooping in Messers (Josh Duhamel) hat.

Valentine's Day

We had a nice low key Valentine's Day.  We have never been big Valentine's Day celebrators, not that we don't love each other, but we just never really celebrate it.  We decided early on that we would not exchange gifts with each other we would only get Campbell something small.  Once I have a picture of her with her Valentine's gift I will be sure to post that for you to see.

Brian & Campbell did get me 2 roses, one from him and one from her...so sweet!

After Campbell went down for the night, Brian and I got busy in the kitchen making dinner.  Really Brian did most of the work, but I did help out some.  We had mashed potatoes, asparagus, steak with mushroom, shallot and red wine sauce.  It was so yummy!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  I know how much I love my family & friends!

Sick Baby

Our little one is sick!  I picked her up yesterday from school with a fever of 103.5...YIKES!  I brought her home and began the Tylenol/Motrin plan to bring that fever down.  She was super cuddle yesterday and while I loved cuddling her and rocking her to sleep....I just wanted her to feel  better.  She went down without a fight last night, like she normal does.  But when I went upstairs to check on her around10, she had vomited all over her crib...it was the saddest thing I had ever seen.  She was just sitting there looking around like "what the heck just happened."
When she got up this morning, a little earlier than normal (6:30...don't hate me Leigh) she was still running a fever of 101, so we started back in with the Tylenol/Motrin.  I called the doctor and got her an appointment to see Dr.A.  He was great with Campbell, checked her out and sent us home with the "it just a virus, so keep an eye on her and bring her back if anything changes."  Luckily when I put her down for her nap, her fever had broken and see ate a good lunch, so hopefully we are on the mend.  Dr. A said they have been seeing a lot of kids with 24-48 hour GI things...so that might just be what we are dealing with!

A New Desk

I am looking for a new desk to go in our kitchen, up against the wall where this cabinent now sits.

It is not something I really need but the only desk we have is upstairs and I never use it, so I was thinking I could get a cute, little desk to pay bills at and blog from. Really I am super jealous of my friend, Leigh's new downstairs office.  She converted her formal living room into a downstairs office and I love it!

The only problem is the desk needs to fit pretty specific dimensions, so that it doesn't stick out into the room too far.  So far my favorites are...

White Parsons Desk from Home Decorator's Collection

Parson's Desk from West Elm
The mirrored desk is amazing,
but not sure it is right for the kitchen

Simple White Desk with 3 little drawers

Dark Wood Desk
It would a nice contrast to the white cabinets.
I love the side detail on this desk

So which desk should I go with & then I guess I need to figure out a chair for the desk.  I could always just pull over one of the kitchen chairs.

This is the chair we have from Pottery Barn, but in a mahogany stain.
