2009 was an amazing year! As you can tell from the blog we had baby Campbell and she made the last 2 months of 2009 amazing. Last night at dinner for our anniversary, we went to Firebirds...yummy! Anyways, we were talking about all the fun and exciting things that had happened this past year, it has been an amazing year & we can't wait to see what 2010 holds for us.

Here are just a few things we remember & are thankful for:

Campbell's 2nd Play Date

Campbell had her second play date today with her buddy Addie! It was really a gathering of 3 generations! Campbell & Addie, my friend Ashley & myself & then Ashley's mom Andrea & my mom or Campbell's Noni! We are all great friends and it was so fun to get together and hang out. Andrea hadn't gotten to see Campbell yet so it was nice that they got to meet.

We had a wonderful lunch, and it was wonderful b/c both of the babies slept during lunch so we could actually eat! We had chicken salad, whole grain bread, fruit, chips & cheese spreads. It was delicious!

We hope that next time Katie can join us & that we can get together again really soon!

Here are some pictures of our afternoon together.

Campbell's First Christmas

Campbell had a wonderful first Christmas & we enjoyed watching her take everything in and really can't wait for next year when she will be more mobile & maybe be able to unwrap some of her own presents!

I had a tradition growing up of having our picture taken on the stairs before we came down to see what Santa had brought us & I want to carry that tradition on with Campbell, but since she can't sit up on her own I had to be part of the picture this year. So here we are waiting to go downstairs and see what Santa brought Campbell.

Campbell was a lucky & good little girl this year. She got a new stroller, baby doll & a picture book about Campbell, Mommy & Daddy.

After we opened presents at our house we headed over to my parents house for more presents & yummy Christmas lunch. Campbell got lots of great presents from her Noni & Pops, including a photography session, books, toys & her high chair! She also got lots of neat presents from Aunt Katie & soon to be Uncle Colin, she got her activity mat & some really cute clothing. We had a wonderful time over at their house.

Campbell's other Aunt Caty & cousin Brayden came over to my parent's house for lunch & we got a really cute picture of Brayden & Campbell together.

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

A Hunting He Will Go

This morning Brian got up bright & early...6 am, which is bright & early for the alarm clock beater! Where was he going....hunting. He was very excited & couldn't wait to use his gun for the first real time. Sure he has been to the shooting range, or whatever they call it, but this will be the first time he is actually shooting at something that is living.

Our good friend Brad T. asked him to go with him quail hunting. So this morning at 7, the guys headed out on the hunt. The hunting caravan includes: Brian, Brad T, Reese, Brayden, Ralph & Riley the hunting dog!

I hope they have a wonderful time and that Brian doesn't "Dick Cheney" someone or get "Dick Cheneyed" himself! That has been our running joke every since Brad asked Brian to go along. I will post a picture of his hunting outfit after he returns since I was up feeding our daughter when he left I didn't get a picture of him!

HAPPY HUNTING!

Campbell Visits With Santa

We ventured out into the snow covered roads on Sunday to take Campbell to see Santa for the first time! She did wonderful with the entire experience...she slept while visiting Santa & the entire time we were at Bass Pro Shop! Which is a really cool place...i highly recommend checking it out at least one time.

We headed out to Bass Pro for 2 reasons....

1- because they have free Santa pictures & since we figured she would be asleep or a complete mess...free was good for us.

2-Brian needed to get a hunting license for his trip on Wednesday with Brad, Reese, Brayden, Ralph & hunting dog Riley! and he wanted to get some "hunting" clothing!

We managed to get the hunting clothing, picture with Santa & totally forgot to get the license...luckily he can get one at Wal-mart!

Campbell's First Snow

Not even 2 months old & Campbell has already gotten to experience snow in Richmond...& I mean real snow...not the usually 1-2 inches that shut down the entire city...I mean snow! Last time I heard we had about 8-10" of snow!!! That is real snow...too bad it wasn't a week later, we could have had a white Christmas, but I think it is supposed to be in the 50's next Friday...go figure, but maybe just maybe there will be some snow still left for a white Christmas!

Anyways here is a picture of our house with snow...it looks so pretty! (don't mind the window lights out in our bedroom...oops!)

Here are some pictures of Grover in the snow...haha....we tried to put socks on his paws to keep the snow from sticking to his feet...but they only lasted a few seconds outside before he had gotten out of them.

Here is Campbell & her daddy in the snow! Don't worry she was only outside for a few seconds to have her picture taken...it was freezing out there & she doesn't have a snow suit...b/c she is only 6 weeks old & really it never really snows in Richmond...haha!

Hope everyone is enjoying the snow & staying safe!

Our Home At Christmas

I love Christmas & wish that I could leave the decorations up year round...they are by far some of my favorite decorations & I think our house looks better when decorated for Christmas than any other time during they year. I also think I have more Christmas decorations than I have normal decor for the house!

I just can't seem to stop buying things for Christmas, but luckily this year I didn't really buy a single thing b/c when all of my favorite stores where having their holiday open houses I was just getting used to being a new mom & I was not about to venture out into the real world with Campbell or even by myself.

So take a look at Christmas in the Harris Household

The Mantle

The Dining Room

The Nativity
(Parts of the Nativity came from Brian's parents & the rest was a gift from my parents)

The Kitchen Table

The Kitchen Bookcase

The Stair Case...I happen to love this!!!

The Niche

The Sofa Table

We also buy an ornament every year that symbolizes something important that has happened that year...this year we bought this stork because of Campbell's arrival!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Campbell's 1st Playdate

Campbell had her first play date today with her best buddy Addie! They had a wonderful time eating, having their pictures taken and taking naps!! But Ashley & I had a great time catching up & eating tuna melts!

We were laughing at how funny it was to be sitting on the couch together with our babies, our real babies. Ashley and I have been best friends since forever & we have played our fair share of house & babies. This time the babies are real & sweet tarts won't cure headaches, they did when we played house!

It is so funny to look at Campbell next to Addie because they are basically the same size. Addie is 2 months old & Campbell will be 5 weeks on Thursday! I am so glad that Ashley & I get to be mommies together, we always said we would!
