Lots of things have been happening in the Harris house. This past weekend Brian and I braved the heat (being pregnant in the summer is HOT!!!) and headed out to look for a new car to take advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program that the government has running. We looked at the Chevy Equinox, Ford Escape & Saturn Vue....we liked all of them, but really liked the Vue & loved the sales guy...Scotty.
So we are now the proud owners of a 2009 Saturn Vue in white (just for Leigh)! So we traded in Brian's Expedition that got horrible gas mileage and got a smaller SUV for hauling Campbell, all her stuff & Grover. With a horse...i mean dog as a pet you really have to have an SUV. The other nice thing about the Vue is that it gets pretty good gas mileage for an SUV!
*Brian and Chris finished the crown molding & chair rail a few weekends ago
*Electrician came Monday to put up a new ceiling fan & lighting in the nursery
*Painter comes tomorrow (Wednesday) to paint the room
*Bedding arrived & looks great
*Furniture arrived & will hopefully be at the house soon
*Campbell's hair bow holder & first set of hair bows arrived!!!! (My Mom thinks it is hilarious that I bought hair bows for her!)
So all that is left to get are the accessories, a table lamp & setting up her room! I am so excited and can't believe that soon her room will be ready for her!

Our Weekend Plans
We have a lot planned or at least a lot of work to get done this weekend...and when I say "we" I really mean Brian & his friend Chris. There job this weekend is to finish the crown molding in the nursery so that we can schedule Trey to come and paint the nursery, so that we can put the furniture in the nursery as soon as it gets here. After work today I am going to run by Jenn's house and pick up a bunch of clothes she has from her 2 girls, so I am sure I will spend a good part of my weekend, sorting through & getting idea of what else I will need.
We are so lucky to have friends that are willing to share their kids clothing after they have outgrown them! I am really starting to get excited about the Kids Layne sale (www.kidslayne.com) the last weekend of July. It is upscale children's consignment sale here in Richmond. I will be there with Got Me In Stitches offering monogramming services to their customers as they shop the sale, but I know I will do a fair amount of shopping myself!
On Saturday afternoon we will attend Olivia's 2nd birthday party!! We are really looking forward to it & can't believe that she is already 2! HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVIA!!!
As for our Sunday plans, we don't have any that I know of...but if I know my husband I am sure a large part of the day will be spent watching the British Open! I am not sure who to cheer for since my favorite golfer...Phil, isn't playing in the tournament!

Not To Much To Report
There has not been a lot going on at the Harris household. On Friday night we had dinner over at Christina & Brad's house, to celebrate my birthday and what was even more exciting was we were their first guest to use their new china....it is beautiful!
After dinner we played boys vs girls Trivial Pursuit and unfortunately the boys won, maybe it had something to do with the fact that I could not read a question correctly to save my life or maybe it was the fact that they got all the easy questions...I am not kidding. Christina & I would get questions like "What creature is on the coat of arms of Germany?" and the boys would get questions like "Where were the Olympics held in 1992?" Oh well I am sure there will be plenty of rematches & if not I will always think back to our killer Scrabble game, while camping last fall where Christina & I killed the boys with the word "oxen" in the last round of the game! It was amazing!
On Saturday, I went with Leigh, Olivia & Avery to Sears to have Olivia's pictures taken for her 2nd birthday. I swear that is crazy...you really need 20 hands when you are a mom and when you have 2 kids....my hat goes off to Leigh! After the photo session, we grabbed lunch at Chipotle before heading back to the home front. Brian played golf on Saturday afternoon and seemed to have a good time, despite the heat, but he said there was a nice breeze on the course.
On Sunday, we headed out to Short Pump to grab lunch with Mark & Jessica and to look for a lamp for the nursery. We had no luck so far on the lamp search, but had a wonderful time at lunch with Jessica & Mark. As for the rest of the day on Sunday we pretty much did nothing, just watch some tv, eat dinner & take Grover on a walk.
That pretty much wraps up our weekend and this week I have a doctors appointment with Dr. Van Tuyle on Wednesday. This upcoming weekend we have Olivia's 2nd birthday party! Happy Early Birthday Olivia!!!! and Brian is going to hopefully finish putting up the crown molding in the nursery!
